Once a popular dessert (or breakfast) across the country, Indian Pudding is rarely seen outside of New England today but it deserves a comeback. youtu.be/RMSV5PVOA7Y?...
Should the name be changed to Native American pudding or maybe Indigenous pudding?...

it's not a slur for Native Americans, the early settlers called maize "indian corn".

My taste buds immediately anticipated cumin and coriander.

Many Native Americans do refer to themselves as Indian; American Indian. Others prefer Native American.

What’s next, Indian Summer becomes taboo? In Washington DC and NYC, it’s the National Museum of the American Indian.

So the name comes from being made out of corn, which they associated with the natives. The dish itself is totally colonist. Love the dish, hate the name, but honestly, cornmeal pudding is more accurate. It’s not indigenous at all.
