No new pictures, where are you at mentally?

a digital painting (by me!) from a photo set of film transparencies that were found in a thrift shop in 2015 by Meagan Irene Abell. the photos depicted a woman in a light blue dress walking into the ocean at dusk (or possibly dawn) the most striking of which i found was her, waist deep in the tide, as a swell beguns to build up around her.

in 2022-2023 it was found that the photos were taken and intended as the album cover for Claudia Thompson's jazz album "Goodbye to Love" released in 1959. it should be noted that the woman in the surf is not in fact Claudia Thompson, a Black music artist who was not depicted on her own album cover.
