  1. It is about party. If you continue to vote for the party that is working against your self interests, then you are partially at fault for the circumstances you’re in.

Neither side is perfect, but at least one side is for the people. The other is for the wealthy.

  2. I disagree vehemently that this is not about Blue vs red. This is 100% about Blue vs red. The 2 parties ar NOTHING alike in helping (Blue) vs hurting (red) average Americans. The writer's bothsiding is a MAJOR tool of republicans to win elections. Across the board the parties are nearly opposite.

  3. I must admit I lived in the same for quite a while I was with somebody for 15 years and we could not get married because myself and children would lose health insurance. In order to add all of us to his insurance two of his full paychecks would’ve went to just the premium alone

  4. Wow - this man nails the struggles we are going through and how ignored we are by the “big beautiful bill”

  5. When the so-called “Big, Beautiful Bill” passed, it was marketed as a win for working Americans. From where I stand, it looks like the opposite: cuts to Medicaid, reduced support for struggling families… You can dress it up however you want, but if it leaves working families behind…

  6. Seeing this from Europe is like seeing a family member going under in drug abuse. You Keep asking why he or she is doing it without getting other answer than "I have control, I know best", even though you can clearly see it's going down the drains. :(

  8. Except it is red or blue bc blue wants to expand and improve the situations he is talking about while red actively and gleefully cuts them. There’s a difference between a handout and a safety net And the republicans only protect the rich

  9. This is so good. I nodded along in its entirety; especially the part about how wrong/dangerous it is that you can carry a hundred dollars worth of groceries in just two hands, sadly. Thank you for sharing this; it doesn’t solve our household’s economic struggles, but it lets me know we aren’t alone

  10. My problem with posts like this is that people lived this way before Trump. Where were these posts last year? To pretend one man or party caused this is to fail Americans and solves nothing. These problems don't go away under Democrats.

  11. Excellent story that speaks for the majority of the residents in my state of #Mississippi.

Speaking of MS, my state can no longer get #Bluesky unless they have a VPN, (I just got one), so the Blue residents that are feeling isolated here, who use to could come here for company, no longer can.

  12. What a powerful story. My heart aches for them. They are the Americans that demented orange moron claims he's helping and supporting, while really he's stepping on them, and grinding them into the ground. These people keep the country and economy going and deserve far, far better than this shit.

  13. Wouldn't it be nice if empathetic Republican Congresspersons read this? We just need true representation vs. following the cruel regime.

  14. This hits home for me. I'd love to marry my partner. We've been together for 16 years. We have kids and a home we own together. But if we got married, my kids and I would lose our Medicaid. Being married would cost us and burden our family more than never being so. I absolutely hate it but 🤷🏼‍♀️

  15. This👍

“You shouldn’t be able to carry a hundred dollars’ worth of groceries in two hands. But these days, you can—and that’s not just wrong, it’s dangerous.”

  16. This is so true and honest. I agree with him. "Does the flag fly for all?" The American people, no matter if they are red or blue, deserve an administration that works for the. Not for the lobbyists and the 1 %. People are struggling while the president makes billions in 8 months!

  17. It’s insane that we don’t have Medicare for all in this country! Many hardworking people struggle in this country through no fault of their own.

  18. Wonder what his neighbors think of his opinions. It's hard to have an empathy mindset in the south - it's not tolerated or appreciated. It's "woke," it's "libtards," it's constant "well when Dems were in power they hurt us" bs. It's exhausting.

  19. This is an honest account of the position most hard-working Americans are in. The most powerful country in the world isn’t using that power to help, but to harm. Thank you for posting this. 💔

  20. Sad but very poignant story; I hope they realize all of their dreams. Wonder if this could be shared with all Sen and Congressional Dems? My fear is that some of the Dems have become so entrenched, entitled and corrupt that they’ve forgotten their base voters, some of whom have similar stories.
