I might hasten to point out that United Steel’s 8 hour workday was the result of a decades long movement by labor advocates and unions. Ford Motor Company adopted the 8 hour schedule and doubled workers’ pay in 1914. The result was -
A doubling of profit margins over two years.
So today’s a good day to remember that collective bargaining works and collectivist action will get us through the Trumpian dystopia.
