i distinctly remember a decade+ ago when all the creative jobs started going out the window being told to “learn to code”
I paid my plumber $110 for what amounted to 90 seconds of work. This isn’t a complaint - he’s a great guy and does outstanding work. I’m just lamenting my life choices out loud 🤣

If I were to bet on which jobs are the most reliable and least likely to be degraded, it would be construction, maintenance, plumber, electrician, and similar hands-on work where it REALLY needs to be done, and it REALLY needs to be done by a person, and that person needs to know what they’re doing.
