Many Americans practice a twisted, blasphemous version of Christianity that is only loosely based on the Bible.
So, I am Orthodox (female, converted in 2005), member of an OCA parish in Greenville, SC. We did have an influx of young single men in 2020-ish. But lately we are seeing more young families, bc women are also seeking something more from their faith. Just my 2 cents.
