The success of this post is making me annoyed that I grew up in a “don’t get too big for your boots” culture. I’m really good at both of these things, but marketing yourself is hard!

When I did mainly theatre I had several colleagues state they wanted to “take you down a peg or two”- anyone who’s met me knows I’m not particularly conceited, but I do think there’s a lot of envy in the arts, and it’s easier to pull someone down than rise up to their level. Keep rising, loves.
The handy thing about getting too big for your boots is that you’re probably in a good position to buy new boots.
