If it is £15m for the loan then that's his salary equivalent at City.

He is contracted at City until 2027, so that's 1 year left after his loan.

The £50m will be there to protect City from other bids coming in on the cheap next year whilst still giving EFC the option. Surely...?

  1. He is done at City

Whether 15m is wages or wages /loan it doesn't make any difference. It's a 1 off commitment with option to buy.

That option will have a date attached to it. After which its a different price but open market.

Everton will hold more cards than City or anyone else at that point
