I’m over $300 a month most months - 3k sqft house
But I’m in Wisconsin too.
Can’t imagine where it would be over $500 in a single momth

In a poorly insulated city apartment or old balloon framed house with bad windows, inefficient appliances and window A/C units. Once these places gain heat you are throwing money out the window by the handful.
