I waited in line with strangers and I remember we were all excited for what this day meant and what it gave back to us. I felt immense gratitude to the nurses administering the shots and the regular citizens organizing everything around us. Why was this memory holed!
It was a weird day for me. I looked forward to it, but my gf and I had to put our dog down the day before, her pancreas had hemorrhaged after a bout with pancreatitis. Did everything we could for her. So I was kinda numb after all the crying.
It was still a relief tho. Get my booster every year.
