Why do we always hear "we can't afford to pay our workers more" but never "we can't afford to pay our CEO more"?
…because shareholders are rewarding CEOs for masterminding inventive ways to funnel money traditionally earmarked for employees ( pensions and healthcare are just two examples ) and giving it to the shareholders instead.
