  1. In my experience: Start work 1.5 hours early as a matter of routine: nobody notices. Finish work 30 mins early for the first time in a month - 'half day is it?'.

  3. I've had the same problem the other way round: arrive at 9:30: "Oh you decided to join us?", still working at 5: no comment, just "see you tomorrow"
