Finish work slightly early: “Part timer are you?”

I feel this so much! 😆
In my experience: Start work 1.5 hours early as a matter of routine: nobody notices. Finish work 30 mins early for the first time in a month - 'half day is it?'.
I was a ‘clock watcher’. But I watched my own clock too and always arrived at work early
My colleague studiously arrived ten minutes late come snow come sun. He never seemed anxious to leave

Get to work at 9.15 every day "On the late shift are you"
Get to work at 8.15 because you have an appointment or early meeting
You don't see ANYONE in the office until 8.45 and most turn up at 8.55
I've had the same problem the other way round: arrive at 9:30: "Oh you decided to join us?", still working at 5: no comment, just "see you tomorrow"
No, that's universal.
sweeps floor Nobody notices

doesn't sweep floor I think nobody notices
sweeps floor "Wow never thought I'd see YOU sweep the floor!"
Start work every morning at 3am in the transport yard, out the doors and away by 3:30, dont get back till mid-day, finish at 12:30 People in the office "Oh you are one of the part-time drivers aren't you?"
Arrive anytime after 9am. "Afternoon!"
True. 🤨
My favourite "Thanks for popping in"
One of the advantages of being an actual part-timer is that you can just say "yes". 👍😂
