1937 shot by Budapest-born Kati Horna, one of the greatest photographers to work in Spain. Republican soldier on the Aragón front, shaving, metal pot I guess with water to shave below, thistle in the centre. Trench stuff piled up to the left. Brilliant composition. Shades of Vietnam.
