Oddly enough unagi has been generally friendlier and more social after the whole emergency ordeal which is the opposite of what I thought would happen?? I was so afraid that was going to completely wreck her trust in humans

Sometimes being scared out of their mind makes them SO GRATEFUL and deeply glad to be home with their people. Like even cats can experience โperspective is a hell of a thingโ. She might also recognize the scary human activity also makes her feel better.

Maybe she actually recognized that nothing actually terrible happened and/or she feels BETTER after the long vet visit? Like, she definitely didn't like it, but everything turned out good

this happened with my baby, Georgie, who suffered hella urinary health issues over the course of like 5 months with 2 blockages that almost took his life [had to do overnight vet stays both times on a catheter] and after he got home from surgery? he has been so much more cuddly than he already was
