anyone got some recommendations for like... the sort of dark atmospheric electronic music you'd listen to on a night drive? It's the sort of genre that feels okay to listen to when my head is hurting and I'd be down for some suggestions if you've got them

Perturbator, moon, basically anyone synthwave and featured in hotline miami is what i go to. Daniel deluxe and mega drive are my 'darker' favorites.

I know I coulda just said darkwave or synthwave but tbh that label gets slapped on a lot of stuff that missed the mark for me. I specified atmospheric because the flavor of night driving vibes I need at the moment is chill and contemplative, not like... high octane neon pursuit in my countach

Have you listened to the soundtrack to Beyond the Black Rainbow by Sinoia Caves? The tracks that aren't basically just an ominous drone might be relevant.
