I'd be interested in your view of my take on it. It's very much a British perspective, and I in no way condone the actions of the British and their empire building.

It is of course in stark contrast with what my father was taught (born 1931) here. tl;dr- The colonists were farmers, and lived peacefully. They pushed West, when they were beset by angry, bloodthirsty natives and had to defend themselves and their families.
