Aside from the fact that's just not true. Nukes can be intercepted, like any conventional munitions. And the UK alone has enough conventional munitions to do more damage than our entire stock of nukes...

People seem to forget many countries actually started this process, it only stopped because the US and Russia refused. Just convincing those two counties would have meant to nukes now...
