We think people are more or less on our side or the other side. We tend to think most people are as politically engaged as we are some a little less some maybe a little more.
But the reality is there are huge numbers of Americans almost completely disengaged & uninformed about our plight.
I fall into this trap even when I know you are right. It makes me realise the value of backing up, taking a breath and talking to people where they live. Some Greek philosopher said the way to change minds is to go to where people are and take them calmly by the hand and walk with them to your view.
change is local in so many ways. its all we got
