it was a HATE CRIME because he is a gay Indigenous man.
Say those words. Do not dance around it. He wasn't "killed in a shooting." He was murdered in a hate crime.
This hit me really hard. It was bad enough that he was gunned down but later I learned why. It might be the last straw for me and America. I spent the evening researching how to emigrate. I am done with this awful place.
