I thought we might see 15% of global electricity from renewables excluding hydro by the end of career. We passed that last year, but I'm not ready to retire any time soon.
One thing that I do miss from earlier in the transition is exciting epiphanies. It’s just felt like watching a pot boil for quite a while now. There’s so much that we still don’t know about what the full transition looks like, and life thereafter. Plenty left to do!

I’ve been thinking about a Net Zero ladder recently, for Joe Public. Yes to heat pumps, no to fly-cruises. PV is a nice-to-have, steaks only for special occasions. And options that will hopefully become more available in time; active travel, public transportation, precision fermentation, etc.
