Keep in mind that most of the tax income for the USG comes from blue states. Gerrymandering notwithstanding, if Trump goes down that path, the blue states need to be prepared to escrow the tax revenue en masse. Newsom gets it in Ca., but I the rest of the blue states need to begin that process now.
