Palestinians are hostages of Hamas. It's more fair to compare German population during WWII to modern Russia's population during Russo-Ukrainian War. Even more fair to compare to USSR population before WWII, when USSR sliced Eastern Europe map with a butcher's knife.
The point is all the "populations" you list voted in the regimes that ruined them I am not pro Israel I am certainly not pro Russia

Hamas won with 44% of the vote in an election two decades ago. The vast majority of Palestinians alive today have never cast a vote for Hamas.
If the opposite was was true they would still be civilians and due all protections afforded civilians by civilized countries in war.
