The president is sending the military to control American cities and if you're a reporter who's framing that illegal power grab as "pushing the boundaries of constitutionality" or "acting boldly to fight crime" or whatever, please go find another line of work where you won't get us all killed.
The Illinois governor should enact the Second Amendment calling the state militia to arms against the national government claiming self defense

Maybe...? I suspect Trump et al would welcome violent opposition to sending in the Texas NG. That would give them pretext, and maybe more importantly, enough public support to invoke the Insurrection Act. All hell would break loose. Seems like a dammed if you do, dammed if you don't kinda situation.
