It’s not a true press briefing. It’s a handful of Trump sycophants who ask questions already approved. The Dems should immediately hold a press conference after these abhorrent Trump ramblings and fact check every Trump statement in real time including all his “senior” moments. The dementia is real.
The White House Press Corp is now a transcription service and Trump fluffing service, nothing more. No journalists remain. Just insiders there for the travel and the perks, and they will do nothing that threatens that access. They've decided autocracy is not so bad if you are on the inside.
The press pool has changed dramatically. Half of them are now sympathetic sycophants who’ve been given access they’ve never had before. The other half (“legacy”) are too afraid of losing access so they very rarely push back.
