Keep an eye on this potential settlement.

Google could pay $$$ to Donald Trump to settle a dubious lawsuit all while Trump’s Justice Department tries to break up Google’s monopoly.

This could be another example of how giant corporations are enabling Trump’s authoritarianism.

  1. Notice he has no problem with certain monopolies and others he goes after. They all have to go.

  2. So what are the Dem's doing to thwart the destruction of our democracy? I fail to see anything of substance happening and it's very frustrating. Where is our leadership? Are we abdicating our duty to fight this with every ounce of energy and tenacity we have? Sure feels like it.

  4. A settlement is reached and the anti-trust case goes away? That’s what I’m guessing will happen.

  5. Can the OVERSIGHT folks in DC congress and senate let the Americans know how many billions of dollars thus far has gone into FOTUS’ banks accounts for all of his extortions, quid pro quo and Pardon fees since January 2025?

  6. 'Blue States Bloc' would counter Trump charisma: assign issues to top voices i.e. Warren on economy, Whitmer on healthcare, Newsom on climate etc. as a TEAM. Press would know who to call & Americans would see not a muddle but a disciplined gov-in-waiting hartmannreport.com/p/from-silen...

  7. It might be worth reminding these CEOs that when the corruption scandals break they will be held to the law as much as trump will be. The difference being that he will probably have died of old age and so the retribution will be greater for them.

  8. It’s crazy because we have historic proof that the guy folds under a light breeze.

All you have to do is say no to him and he doesn’t do shit. I hope every company that gets on their knees to huff his flaccid micropenis goes bankrupt and their assets redistributed to the victims of their treason.

  9. This is how giant monopolies get what they want. They can directly pay off people by way of a phony lawsuit settlement.

  10. Corporations have enabled every Presidency since the beginning of our country. I’m more concerned about members of the House and Senate enabling this fuckery.

  11. Next Dem admin needs to let the FTC be even MORE aggressive than Lina Khan's FTC was in breaking up these companies.

It does us no good for so much power to be concentrated in the hands of so few conglomerates.

  12. I'm more worried about Meta's monopoly, since they don't seem to be able to run their sites responsibly. Google doesn't concern me anywhere near as much.
