  1. Wolves are the best. Had 2 who would walk through my property to elsewhere and would always stop and look for me. I'd sense their presence + look for them. Once I looked them in the eyes no matter how far away they were, usually, about 25 yards, they would continue on their journey.

  2. So maybe wolves being part of the eco system for hundreds of thousands of years was good

  3. Wolves are incredibly important to a healthy environment. This is but one example.

  4. , I’m sending a, and I’m almost sure my end is near. I don’t care about finding shelter after losing the tent that was sheltering my family. The most important thing is not to get food. Double the price of flour. We can’t buy it today. The prices of vegetables and any product have doubled. Drinki

  5. Another important piece of journalism from wapo, the failure of the printed word.

  6. One of the most misunderstood animals out there. I blame "The Big Bad Wolf" and the desire of SO many to be afraid of things.

  7. Please don't tell anyone. They will shoot the wolves, the elk will get wasting disease and the trees will be cut down anyway. It's in the H.R. 1 bill. 😢

  8. It’s how good ecosystems work! Plus, the meandering of the river returns due to trees being able to grow on the banks!

  9. Oh cool great article why don’t you stop sane washing the orange turd reich? Fucking WAPO, piece of shit news outlet. How y’all sleep at night is beyond me.

    @ndhm.bsky.social

Oh yes, everything is connected, at least in what remains of nature.

  11. Not if republicans have their way.

Mowing wolves down with snowmobiles and duct taping their snouts shut so they can parade them around their favorite drinking hole then shoot them in front of their drinking buddies is a sacred MAGA right / rite.

  12. In 1995 when the first wolves were released after decades of being gone, the entire Yellowstone Ecosystem went through a transformation of growth...animals, nature the whole shebang!!!!

  13. Think Nesvik, burgum, zeldin, trump, rollins value this? Think again. They just like to kill things. Biomes be damned. Christian nationalism in action

  14. It's not just the Aspens...the entire ecosystem benefits from wolves. Nature NEEDS apex predators.

  15. Nonsense. Aspen trees take decades to reach maturity. The only thing this is doing is letting more trees survive. They still reach the same height.

  16. Thanks to wolf trapping, trophy killing Governor gianforte and his extremist maga majority Montana is trying to kill them all. Like gianforte they want to lure Yelkowstone wolves out of the park and trap them, shoot them, stuff and mount them - because maga assholes offer bounties for them here.

  17. What people also have failed to understand is that the pine tree is an invasive species to the Rocky Mountains. Since 1990 the pines have been taking over the aspen's environment. Not realizing this, too many people are trying to save pines from beetles. Let the pines die off, aspens will return.

  18. What a bullshit statement where the hell did you get your information cause it is not the case at all so full of shit go back to your high rise apartment and leave us who know alone

  19. This is bad reporting. It's not just the aspens, its the selk population, the predation, the rise in beaver dams creating ponds which help the bird population. The the multi-pronged ecology, not just the trees.

  20. EVERYTHING in the natural environment on Earth depends on everything else. INCLUDING HUMANS. We are NOT exempt from the ecosystem. Destroying it to enrich some billionaires is not only ignorant, greedy, and immoral, it's against everything that is life on Earth, it's against NATURE, including OURS.

  21. A small amount of restoration and conservation can help resuscitate an ecosystem and help it thrive. The way we live and the business decisions that negatively impact nature are the causes of environmental degradation and loss and death of flora and fauna. If we try we can find a balance with nature

  22. It's all about balance. Humans have disrupted or destroyed the eco-balance in countless ways. It's good to hear this news, but the reality is that there's nothing humans do that benefits the planet. All we do is fuck things up and then try to fix it before it gets worse. Sadly, often it's too late.

  23. Is your government terrified of you? If not, why not? Who owns who?

Freedom is a great thing, a powerful thing, & it's all yours. Don't be afraid to use it. Stand up & return to glory. Be the Gods of Liberty that you once were.

    Revolution is the solution.
