Ah. I missed Roll's comment(s) yesterday.
I still suspect the broad strokes re: what language they use is from higher ups. (Remember how/why Peacock pulled a season one episode of “The Office”?)
No way to know how the decision was made, but based on Roll’s behavior yesterday, he is a prime suspect. When a race is shortened by protesters who have lined the entire course waving flags, not reporting at all what they are protesting is silly & pointless. Other broadcasters reported who & why.
