I know it's late but y'all have to watch this.

Tom was born in Miama to Cuban immigrants fleeing political repression, working at Telemundo starting at 15 and now anchors of NBC Nightly News—the first Latino to anchor a major evening news broadcast.

And this segment? A heartwarming tearjerker.

While I'm not Cuban or Afrolatino myself, I still want to celebrate moments like these out of solidarity for my fellow Brown and Blackfolk—esp. when this admin wants to erase their contributions and successes.

Al Roker too has been a man of firsts, so to see them share this was beautiful 🥹
