In case you missed it, Friday (or soon after) the FDA is expected to license the Covid-19 vaccine. Word is that the label will be restricted to adults 65+ and people at high risk.
But a few organizations have made different recommendations.

Pts concerned abt being left out of these restrictions shld discuss their individual health situation & the risks / benefits of vaccination w/ their PCPs. Your PCP shld be able to write a recommendation addressing your case so you can receive the vaccines best suited to YOU. The HHS is unreliable.
Be very careful of this administration crack pots and their vaccines if its not made by past science experts !

For anyone who needs to know this: no pharmacy is going to double check your medical records to make sure you’re in a high risk group.
I have asthma, so I said I did and I got the vaccine early back in the first round.
Just say you have asthma.

So my right to choose whether I get vaccinated has been taken away. Got it.
Ok so my 13 yr old had Covid 4 times already and of course he has given it to me each time. I have the medical conditions but he doesn’t get the vaccine? I have to still be exposed…? As a health provider, I am very disgruntled. I have had it 5 times and the last time was with the flu. 😣
2/ Yesterday the Vaccine Integrity Project met. This is a group put together to fill the gap of evidence-informed vaccine policy in the U.S. Scientists around the country looked at ALL of the Covid, flu and RSV literature in the past year.
Long Covid is glaringly absent from this list. 😒🤬

thank you for sharing these updates, i was worried that i'd just have to regularly ask my doctor what was available.
The term high-risk can do a lot of heavy lifting. ALL physicians draft a statement of medical necessity describing the risks of morbidity and mortality in all populations from C19. Have it as a dot phrase for your clinic notes. We know the science here. Cite sources.

This is fucking ridiculous. As a nurse I am your livid right now. I am one of the lucky ones who have not contracted COVID. I have gotten every single shot and have never come down with it. They are actively trying to kill people
