Indianapolis hasn't been a GOP city in quite a while. And even then, it was the mayor who is basically an extinct brand of politician in today's version of the party. Dems have a super-majority in the city-county council and the mayoral race is the Dem primary.

I'm glad to hear that. (I lived in Indy in the early '/80s and knew some government officials; they weren't lefties, that's for sure.)
