I think it’s worth defending the distinction between liberal and centrist. A genuine liberal has no problem defending the rights of minorities: it should be central to their principles.
A centrist doesn’t have principles. They have positioning, triangulation, vacuity, and an absence of ethics.
The craven reactionary centrists at Third Way are advising Democrats not to use the term LGBTQ, BIPOC, allyship, or intersectionality. They're erasing the entire language used to describe minority communities.
