The Manitoba Metis Federation is the only nationally recognised Metis government in Canada. The Metis National Council has two member provinces and they lost the rest because - wait for it - they continue to give legitimacy to Metis Nation Ontario. Understanding certain intricacies is important.

UNDRIP is now federal law. BC only did it when they did because they were sick of Ottawa dicking around (thanks to Conservatives). They finally got it passed and now Carney is ignoring it. It won't matter if it's adopted provincially when they're already ignoring a federal law.

The court cases have already been filed. This bill won't build a thing. What it's going to do is destroy all progress on reconciliation. And that's no problem for a man who is a Harper puppet.

He and Ford are already salivating at the money they'll make from the Ring of Fire. That in and of itself is problematic. Ford believes he has a yes from a number of First Nations but they only consulted on a road for the communities to connect to each other, not mines.
