America is suffering through an era of rule by jerks who are now inflicting their jerkiness on everyone because they have enough power that we can't ignore or walk away from them anymore.
This is precisely what I was getting at here in regards to cancel culture. There are people have been unjustly cancelled, but so many of the people who claim to have been, when you dig into it, turn to just be terribly unlikable, and so their colleagues justifiably wanted nothing to do with them.
You Haven’t Been Canceled. You’re Just Unlikable.
