which is all well and good if you like a management style that changes policy after a player who brought an NWSL team to the ballon d’or shortlist suffers a spontaneous HORRIFIC injury and the policy is NOT to make sure that never happens again, but to make sure nobody can prevent more injuries.

literally. if the players they use to draw revenue and grow the league aren’t even worth sparing from PREVENTABLE injuries then nobody on the pitch should expect safety. if they can’t be loud about this then fans need to be.

barbra’s injury is so rare and basically unheard of at this level (because of medical staff overseeing warm ups and making decisions) that most people don’t know how excruciating it is, or that she might never be the same player. this screw up is specifically hers.
