The NDP are important but Singh was a terrible leader. Nice guy, meant well, ….wrong choice.

Because we have so few Canadians that are actually of the left. Canada is a majority centrist country.

Liberals tried to be “fiscally conservative” with austerity policies and cutting programs. It was a disaster. Conservatives believe in tax breaks for the rich and the poor be damned. Socially liberal means more than acceptance of minorities. It means spending massive amounts of money on programs.

No you can’t. The statement sounds nice but is meaningless. It just means you are a conservative that is embarrassed about that fact. Economic policy and social policy cannot be separated

You just made my point. You are liberal or conservative. You can’t be both. That kind of prevarication was popular 20 years ago but was rightly called out as nonsense more recently. Saying such things advertises profound naïveté politically.
