It's only a strike if there is no offer from the Union; in this case the employer has an offer from the union - so no strike. It's a lockout - Air Canada's board is screwing its customers so it can screw it's workers out of <10% of the company's annual profits.

Air Canada made $1.5B in 2024, the Flight Attendants are asking for ~$500M per year in total compensation (the raise they are asking for will cost ~$100M).
