I've been fired from the Washington Post in the aftermath of the Charlie Kirk shooting.

I spoke out against hatred and violence in America — and it cost me my job.
And yes, I was the last Black full-time columnist in the Opinion section.
Washington Post -- operating in a city which for a long time has been majority Black, is now without any full-time Black opinion writers.
“Democracy Dies in Darkness” was meant to be a warning not a to-do list. How on earth can the Washington Post be expected to fight against government overreach in crushing dissent when it is doing Trump’s work for him?
Washington Post’s commitment to personal liberties does not extend to employing people who criticize gun violence or accurately quote, without comment, Charlie Kirk’s words

If a Russian immigrant had murdered Kirk, the U.S. would not immediately declare war on Russia. That is quite a leap. Generally, unaffiliated actors are not considered to represent the agenda of a larger group/nation.
Meanwhile ProPublica found that three current members of Trump's cabinet actually did do the thing it looks like they falsely accused Lisa Cook of doing...

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion, after getting $1.2 trillion richer over the past year alone.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country is getting squeezed by tariffs and high prices for groceries, utilities, and health care.
The system is broken.
The youtuber @benaminute.bsky.social did an interesting thought experiment of creating new TikTok accounts and watching how quickly they get shown political content.
The interesting part to me was the nihilism videos. Preying on young mem and grooming them with nihilism to commit tragedies.
Being trans is not a death cult. Quite the opposite: transitioning made me want to live as long as possible now that I can enjoy my life. That's all we're asking for. This hateful rhetoric has to end.
South Koreans are reporting ICE put them chains & treated them like animals for 7 days.
They had valid visas. They were here legally. They did everything right. Trump still treated them like trash.
It was NEVER about "legal" immigration. It was always about banning non-white immigration.
