A hydroponic garden like Aerogarden is a big initial investment, but well worth it over the long run if you are the type who enjoys gardening. You can start perennial seeds for your window gardens and then grow herbs and veggies practically all the rest of the year.

Plain oatmeal is probably the most nutritious grain per $ in the US. Add a little milk protein or whatever complements it for you, and it’s a filling and nutritious meal. A few veg on the side for the other vitamins, and you’re golden. I like to put peanut butter in mine.
