People scoff at the "power of pop music," but hearing this song as a 14 yo in a backwards southern town surrounded by racists changed something in my brain.
So after a bit of a scramble, I got the last seat on a Delta flight out of a different airport that cost all the miles in my account, but whatever. Cab driver got me to JFK super fast. Finally getting a cup of tea. Up since 4:30, dealt with a cancelled flight and two airports with zero caffeine.
For the first time ever I gave Spirit Airlines a try. I’m flying alone, no luggage, a quick trip to FL for my father’s memorial and back the next day. How bad could it be? How about a cancelled flight and the next flight gets me there TOMORROW, after my dad’s memorial.
