If anything it’s just as dystopian as we were afraid it would be. Every driver I’ve had for years behaves like they’re doing it at gunpoint since the money is crap and getting anything less than five stars will destroy you.

That’s the result of technological innovation not the result of stolen property. Most sane people wouldn’t sign away their life’s work to train their replacement, unless they’re greedy or desperate, so tech companies opt to not give them the option in the first place.

I can’t think of any instances where a persons own property is used as a resource to put them out of work. Cars weren’t derived from the horse and buggy, they were created independently from them. Stealing a horse wasn’t necessary to build an engine.
