Hearing stories of adjuncts living in their cars was part of why I ended up in IT instead of academia. I'm glad the blog exists and that it provides you with financial stability, but I really hate that we pay academics so badly that losing a job would be less damaging than losing the side hustle.

Cause and effect are difficult to quantify in history. Especially while living through it. Could Fox et al have brainwashed people as effectively without that background? Maybe. Maybe not. I don't know.
