There have been 51 women who have served as governors of their state. Thousands of men and women have served as governors since the United States began, and more before that in the colonies. There have been many gay governors, and recently some have been publicly open about it, but it's not new.
I have a lot of complaints about Healey, but this is good. It would be nice if we could get a ban on ICE agents covering their faces next.

All of this could have been said without pointing out that she is a lesbian. It just perpetuates the hate.
This is really great and a model that other states can follow. On the flip side it's really sad that there needs to be laws protecting people who care about others.
The question now is whether the Massachusetts AG will enforce the law when (not if) it is broken.
