Not sure yet. I’m thinking about it.

  1. Damn, I’m learning so much here! BTW my favorite glimpse of the future is in some Asimov novel where the character is smoking a cigarette and a previously invisible hole opens up on the table and sucks away the excess ash. Why can’t we have technology like that instead of AI art or whatever?

  2. Hard agree. Honestly, I don’t get the appeal. He just wasn’t a very good writer from an artistic perspective. He seemed to have the mind of a slightly below par 8th grade boy. Asimov may not have been James Joyce with his prose, but he had a lot of fun amazing ideas.

  3. one of the most indicative traits of an intellectual fraud is their willingness to run off at the mouth about things they very clearly don’t understand. it’s totally fine to not be an AI expert. why are you pretending to be one for your 100k substack subscribers?

  4. Remember when Anthony Bourdain could fly around the world and get drunk and do macho stuff with other dudes, and then go to their mom’s house and she’d cook them dinner, and it would be on TV? If he was still alive he’d be shopping with chicks and having their apron-wearing dad’s cooking brunch.
