Your face is good. I am a Soos.

  1. I think it's clear at this point that because Mamdani has not acted like the racist caricature of a Muslim American that Gilibrand, Greenblatt, Jeffries, and Schumer so desperately wish that he was, the move now is to just straight up lie about him.

  2. I honestly think one of the most pure and aspirational American success stories is how one guy became the single best person who ever lived at Jeopardy right at the only point in half a century when they needed a new host for Jeopardy and everyone just went “well, duh”

  3. Aaaaaand as always, please consider referring to Ed for the far more condensed and readable version of the thing I needed to spend 17 posts getting out

  4. This is fundamentally why I find the constant churn of “Trump declares himself the physical husk of Ra upon the Earth, issues executive order on when sun rises in morning” stories problematic. It actually is okay every now and then to correctly frame that a thing he said is simply just insane.

  5. Trump trying to ban mail in voting is not as interesting. A story because he simply can’t do it. I’m sorry, he just can’t. No court will say he can. No, it won’t. In contrast, it took less than a week for Brian Kemp to make it illegal to hand out water to people in three-hour voting lines.

  6. To be clear, I’m not criticizing Greg, but to the story itself, I disagree with it to the level of how much actual power Trump will have to rig elections to this capacity. To that, I find the “what will Trump do?” narrative to be very distracting from the far more dangerous state level disruptions.
