"AI will make operations so much more efficient that they will save lots of energy" is an interesting claim but it seems WAY early to make that assessment, even before factoring in Jevons paradox

I’m not sure Jevon applies to all of these. At least not directly. But I 100% agree it’s too early to make that and many other “efficiency” predictions around AI that are currently being made. These are SWAGs, not projections based on currently measured data where AI is known to be providing savings
