The Air Canada strike was ended by union solidarity and militancy, and also by the Carney government’s intervention being so early and so tin-eared and ham-handed that it made AC admit being saved by arbitration was their whole bargaining strategy. Then it was gone and the strike ended! Lessons!

Unions need to WANT to learn the lessons... Talk to PIPSC and PSAC about this and you'll get the "yah yahs" then 🦗🦗🦗 And IMHO what spurred this on is the threat of being nailed for back wages for unpaid work for decades. Remains to be seen if Carney's Gvt will follow through on that.
