I’m a desert dwelling Democrat. A Democracy (which we surely are) of more than 340 million people can’t be conservative as a national goal. Be conservative in your own life if you wish.
If you start to limit anyone, where do you stop?
Protest hatred.
Montana = 2 senators = 1.2 million people. Farm economy. California = 2 senators = 39 million people, incredibly diverse and productive economy.
Our government was born when all states were farm economies. No major population centers. We should not govern the whole of US to favor the least of US.
Americans as a rule are very easily duped to vote for people who promise results for things that in our system there are no solutions for.
We are a capitalist nation. We are obsessed by profits and acquiring more wealth. Low prices will never be a thing in America. Stop electing republicans.

Democrats would be fine with a electoral system that does not encourage cheating. Republicans, because they refuse to accept change feel they must cheat to win.
