Def not thinking of busses, I took one through North MPLS my entire childhood and never had a problem. But I also think they’re different than trains… Had a bus driver stop and physically throw a couple teenagers off one time.

My personal experience on 'train' systems within the sphere of 'public transit' varies so greatly that I'm often on both sides of the issue...
Had maybe 5 bad experiences in thousands of NYC, London, Barca, Moscow or Paris metros, but in 100-ish MPLS light-rail trips, maybe 20+ issues.
