There are about half a dozen non-rich members of Congress. The rest have no connection to the wage-earning classes. They rely on the super-rich for funding and support. Public opinion has no influence on policy goals. As poverty explodes, so does policing. That’s where we are.
The CEO-to-worker pay ratio at S&P 500 companies last year was 285-to-1. The median employee would have had to start working in the year 1740 to earn what the average CEO received in 2024. Is it any wonder why so many think the system is rigged?
