Absolutely, 100% correct. The USMCA was a dead letter the moment Trump threatened tariffs against Mexico & Canada. Carney and the Liberals have wasted the past 10 months pursuing comprehensive agreements and a degree of certainty that simply were never, ever, ever on the table. Time for Plan B.

    Finally getting real about Canada-US relations also involves getting real about the fact that Carney's tax cuts and 15% government cutbacks will weaken the country at the very moment we can least afford to. It's the opposite of nation-building. We need more government to get through this, not less.
